There are so many PC keyboards pretending to be “ergonomic”, being just “broken” in the middle. But what is ergonomic keyboard? How is it looks like?
MALTRON Ergonomic Keyboard
This is 3D ergonomic keyboard. Keys are not on a plain surface but in a spheroid, so all mostly used keys are on equal distance from your fingers.
This British invention has been awarded as:
- ‘Millennium Product’ awarded by British Design Council.
- ‘Health & Safety Product of the Year’ North West Today.
- ‘Finalist, British Invention of the Year 2003’

DataHand Ergonomic Keyboards
The DataHand ergonomic keyboard offers a total of 132 keys (more than even extended flat keyboards) through the use of five keyswitches clustered around the tips of each of the fingers. With four modes, shifted by the thumbs, hand movement is no longer required to perform keyboard work. Hand support results in the elimination of the major source of musculoskeletal stress in hands, wrists, arms, shoulders, backs, and necks.

OrbiTouch Keyless Keyboard
The orbiTouch is the first ergonomically designed, fully functional keyless keyboard with an integrated mouse. The patented design eliminates finger motion and significantly reduces wrist motion — two major causes of typing discomfort and pain. The orbiTouch creates a keystroke when you slide the two domes into one of their eight respective positions. You type the different characters by sliding the domes to create letters and numbers. The orbiTouch also has an integrated mouse, so moving the domes gives you full mouse and keyboard capability!
OrbiTouch has awards:
- 2003 Consumer Electronics Show “Innovations” and “Best of Innovations” Awards
- 2003 da Vinci Award for Assistive Technology Design Excellence
- Keybowl Named to CIO Magazine 2001 CIO-100
- February 2000 Semifinalist in the Discover Awards
- February 2000 Semifinalist in the Columbus Foundation Awards
- IEA/Liberty Mutual Prize

SafeType Vertical Keyboard
The SafeType is the only keyboard that can place the user in a position that is completely orthopedically neutral while doing data entry and cannot be adjusted improperly by the user. It provides unsurpassed comfort. The Safetype is the only keyboard demonstrated in a Major University Study to virtually eliminate the high-stress postures that contribute to Repetitive Stress Injuries, such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. If you stand with your arms relaxed at your sides, use only the biceps to bring your hands up and forward until your forearms are parallel to the floor. You are now in the most relaxed typing position possible, with your palms facing each other. SafeType keyboards were designed according to scientific Biomechanical Principles, not simply modified from old flat keyboard designs. It’s the Science of Biomechanics at work for you!

Comfort Ergonomic Keyboard System
The Comfort Ergonomic Keyboard allow for the most comfortable typing due to the infinite adjustability of it’s sections. These separate, adjustable sections allow for neutral posture helping to lessen other ergonomic injuries such as tendontitis, hand and wrist pain and other repetitive stress injuries.
